National Trust Area Ranger Ian Dowson said: ”It’s really frustrating seeing fly-tips like this across the moors.
"Unfortunately, we regularly see building rubble, household waste and other litter left on our land or in lay-bys.
“This costs valuable volunteer time to clear it up, as well as the added cost to dispose of it.
"We work closely with Kirklees Council and Oldham Council to ensure the moors are free from litter.
"If the public sees fly-tips like this, they can contact us on: [email protected]
“We’re also still seeing big problems with visitors leaving litter like face masks and baby wipes, as well as bottles, and food wrappers.
"These can be a hazard for wildlife and even cause a fire risk.”
