The bakery provides employment, training and other support for people after leaving prison.

HMPasties will supply a selection of its products to the heritage railway as part of the agreement.

The organisation operates a bakery alongside a charitable foundation providing employability training, mental health support and practical advice.

It works with prison leavers, young people and others who face barriers to employment.

HMPasties founder Lee Wakeham said: “We’re incredibly proud to be working with such a well-respected regional organisation. This partnership is not just about great food; it’s about creating opportunities and changing lives. Every product we supply helps us support more people into employment, build confidence and move forward positively.”

East Lancashire Railway chairman Mike Kelly said: “East Lancashire Railway is proud to be working with HMPasties, a supplier that represents far more than excellent food. Their commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities for ex-offenders and supporting rehabilitation aligns strongly with our own values as a community-focused organisation.

“By partnering with HMPasties, we are not only enhancing our offering to visitors with high-quality, locally produced products, but also supporting a business that is making a genuine difference across the Northwest. It’s a powerful example of how heritage, community, and social impact can come together to create something truly positive.”

The supplied material does not specify which HMPasties products will be sold by the railway or when they will become available.
