Their fabric, triple layer, washable and reusable face masks are all handmade by a team of sewing bees, and now they are being stocked at the following places alongside a donation station:

Said Dovestone WI president Jess Moreland: “This scheme works really well with Dovestone WI's ethos and values.

"It’s supporting local businesses, helping keep people safe.

"And it’s not adding to landfill and waste with disposable PPE.

"In turn, it’s helping to get food directly to financially struggling families.”

The ‘Turning Fabric Into Food’ mission uses money donated from people who have asked for our masks, and uses it to buy much needed food for foodbanks in the wider community.

Jess added: “As of this week we are able to spend another £1,000 on food, taking our total so far to £5,000.

"We have provided food to several food banks and this weeks money will get spent on Sandwich Angels and Mossley Food Bank.

"To all the people who have donated, thank you  - without your generosity and help, we couldn’t do what we do."
