The CCG commissions most of the health services for the borough to ensure services remain safe, effective and accessible to local people.

Patient views are being sought to understand people’s past experiences and what they would want to see in future.

The CCG is currently reviewing the way phlebotomy (taking blood), anti-coagulation and screening for latent tuberculosis are delivered.

So they are particularly keen to hear from people who currently take an oral anti-coagulant or warfarin, who have had bridging therapy for a suspected Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or have been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation.

It also wants to hear the views of anyone who has recently had bloods taken or who has been contacted by the Latent Tuberculosis screening service.

Patients in any of these groups are invited to share their views on how services can be improved or what should stay the same to help ensure future plans reflect the experience of service users.

The online engagement event is taking place on Tuesday at 2pm.

The public are invited to register here or by searching for “Oldham CCG Public Engagement Event - Oldham Blood Services” on the Eventbrite website.

Alternatively, patients can email: [email protected] or ring 0161 770 8096 to register.

Patients can also share their views on these services by phone (0161 770 8096), email: [email protected] or on social media at: https://twitter.com/oldhamcares or: https://www.facebook.com/OldhamCCG.

All are welcome.
