The team has started to welcome students back to the Lyceum so they can sing and play in bands, choirs, orchestras - and join in with the other musical groups that take place every week.
Whether your child is a returning student, or they want to improve the instrumental skills they learned during lockdown, then the Music Centre staff will be happy to hear from you as they are always open to new members.
Councillor Shaid Mushtaq, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, said: “The last 15 months have been a challenge for everyone, none more so than for our young people.
"They have missed out on so much.
“Thankfully the Music Service has continued to provide online services as we know being part of singing classes, playing an instrument or music making can have a really positive impact on mental health and wellbeing.
“But nothing beats being with your friends, having fun and learning new skills.
“Playing an instrument is a great hobby to have and can also help boost a child’s confidence levels and transform their entire educational career.”
Due to current social distancing rules there have been a few changes made to the inside of the building, but that won’t stop the music.
