Red Nose Day is organised by Comic Relief, which is a major charity based in the UK, with a vision of a just world, free from poverty.
Their goal is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment.
The Oldham school fundraised in a variety of ways on the day.
They organised a Great Staff v Student Bake-Off event, with entrants putting their baking skills to the test.
The school also set up an Iron Challenge using gym equipment so students could run, row or cycle as far or fast as possible for sponsorship.
The CCF Army Cadets also set up a welcome car wash which many staff took advantage of.
Andrea Atkinson, Headteacher at E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy, said: “It’s so important for young people to consider the lives of those across the world who may not be as fortunate as them and I was so proud of everything staff and students have done this Red Nose Day to fundraise for Comic Relief.”
