Small family groups, romantic couples young and old, groups of lads of all ages and solo dog walkers have all made their way to the Edge, taking in the views and enjoying one of Oldham’s most distinctive open spaces.
The evening has created a wonderful atmosphere, with people stopping to enjoy the location, the spectacle and each other’s company.
Oldham Edge is also currently home to a travelling community, adding another cultural element to an area that is sometimes described as one of the more interesting and unconventional parts of Oldham.
For one evening at least, the Edge has brought together a real cross-section of Oldham, families, friends, couples, dog walkers, visitors and residents all enjoying the same patch of the town and the spectacular scene unfolding above them.
