Year 11 were a fantastically close year group, no more demonstrated than the love shown during their Leaver’s Celebration Day, Prom, and of course, the summer exams.  It was a joy to see that closeness and the smiles on students faces as they celebrated together with friends, family and staff, thanking them for their hard work, support and service during their time at Newman.

The College are delighted to celebrate our students’ fantastic achievements this year.  There were considerable improvements to praise across the College in lots of areas.

There are also some wonderful individual results that we would like to share.  Don Mathew, Dylan McKenna and Choice Unuagbon were thrilled with their grades, pictured above together as Newman’s top three highest achieving students, achieving an incredible twenty-one Grade 9s between them.  Don and Dylan will now study Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-Level.

Friends Michal and Robbie opened their results together.  Michal said he was ‘Overwhelmed, so happy, excited and proud!  A massive thank you to the school”.  Robbie admitted “All worked out in the end, hard work pays off.  A huge thank you.”

Lucy Holt wanted to wish a “Thank you to all of my teachers that supported me”.  As always, Newman will continue to live out our college values everyday, hoping that our future students have the courage and dignity to strive for the same excellent academic standards that this year’s Year 11 did.

Congratulations once again to the Newman Class of 2026.  May we wish all our Newman leavers the very best for the future.
