Pennine Care Charity will hold its fire walk on Monday 2 November at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust's headquarters in Ashton-under-Lyne.

The event will run from 5pm to 8pm at 225 Old Street and is open to people aged over 12.

Participants will walk across a bed of hot embers after receiving safety training and guidance from fire walk professionals.

Money raised will support projects and activities for people using Pennine Care NHS services.

Pennine Care Charity is the registered charity partner of Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, which provides mental health, learning disability and autism services across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside and Glossop.

The charity said recent projects include a new sensory room at Prospect Place, a low-secure mental health service at Birch Hill Hospital.

Donations have also funded a trip to Calderbrook Alpacas involving people supported by Rochdale memory assessment service.

Pennine Care Charity director Wes Partington said: “The fire walk is about courage, resilience and pushing beyond your limits. Walking across hot coals might sound daunting, but taking part is a chance to prove to yourself that you're capable of more than you think.

“By conquering your fear, you'll also be helping others. Every pound raised will support mental health, learning disability and autism services across our communities, funding projects and initiatives that make a real difference to people who use Pennine Care NHS services.

“Whether you're taking part on your own or with friends, family or colleagues, we'd love you to join us for an unforgettable experience and to help change lives along the way.”
